You don't mention what year the DIII football team won the championship. If it was last year that would be Mount Union, Ohio.

I don't know whether the city ever won the DIII championships…but it is the venue for the games.

BTW: Never said where the last one was, although everyone pretty much got it...we went to Miami, where Miami Vice and CSI: Miami are "based." Love the smell of jasmine. I think that's what the sweet smell was while I was there.

Forgot to say…The Salem Flying Artillery was said to have fired the last Confederate shot in the Civil War.

Another interesting fact about Salem City is that while it is politically independent of Roanoke County, the County Courthouse of Roanoke County is in Salem City. Go figure.
