Let's also consider that when you chase your dog, the dog thinks it's a game and will run away from you. Like... "you can't catch me!" Man, Basenji's can bolt! On the other hand, when you are the one running away, the dog instinctively joins you because you are part of the dog's family/pack. This is not to be confused with a learned command to chase an assailant, in Police work, for example. That would be a totally different game of chase.
September to Remember Hatch Memorial Trophy

Happy to report that my "Rocky" UKC CH. Kiroja Chicago Hood at Jaroufa,SGRC2,JOR,ORC was the winner of the Hatch Memorial Trophy at the September to Remember Meet in NJ this past week-end.He ran undefeated and beat 16 other basenjis to take home the prize.
Rocky is just 7pts from his SGRC3 title and he is not even 3 yet.
He is one amazing dog!A big THANK YOU to Kelli Harmon of Kiroja for sending me this super dog.:)

Yay Rocky, that's my boy! Congrats Kathryn, and thanks for all that you do with him. I'm so glad he has such a wonderful home that lets him do what he loves to do! He finally gets the trophy that he technically earned last year too. lol
