Glad he has found a home, so sad he was neglected for a time, how did that happen? If for whatever reason we can't keep Kaiser he is to go back to his breeder and be rehomed by her.
Jolanda and Kaiser
Looks like a young basenjiXbasenji cross to me. Additionally the little guy has a harness AND a collar on and still escaped; surely someone is looking for him?
Its hard to tell his size, but he sure looks like a poorly bred b to me..
But then, I am not the expert..so I brought it to you all..
That would be my guess from the pictures, very poorly bred… which would make it look like a mix....
That was my guess as well.
I agree…it is hard to tell..but I would guess purebred, and maybe with an underbite that makes his jaw look a little 'different'.

Good call Andrea….
But many shelters/rescues have an acknowledged habit of listing dogs as mixes if (a) they aren't entirely certain it's a purebred or (b) if it's a breed that can be difficult to place and listing it as a mix may make it more likely to be adopted.
