I don't think I have ever laughed as much..but that chihuahua mix looks like he stole Moses( our podengo) ears…how cute..

she is really beautiful. poor little thing! and i cannot imagine a pit bull/basenji mix. what a very odd combination (yet two of my favorite breeds!)

The thing with multi-generational mutts is that they tend toward the dog "default" which is the same look that you see in many street dogs and pariah dog, medium size, prick ears, and often tan coloring. Since basenjis are a primitive dog they share these characteristics.

Tegs, Sorry that it took me a while to reply. I would love to trade pics with you. Everyday that passes, I am reminded of the Basenji Code. She is a bolter, I am happy that we have a storm door to help.

The shelter has a new Petfinder volunteer and Millie's pic is now up. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9669934 Her behavior is very basenji. The way she approaches other dogs and even her somewhat aloof with strangers attitude. Like many basenjis though the way to her heart is through her stomach and she will be your best friend after a few treats.
