Split toenail -help!

Jazzy has somehow managed to split her toenail down the middle {from top to bottom, not front to back}.
She is limping tonight, but I know I can't get her in to the vet tomorrow {Sunday}. I am hoping that my vet is in on Monday, if not I'll have to settle for one of the others in his office whom I do not like :(What I need for now is advice: is there anything I can do in the meantime?
Soak in peroxide, warm water, leave it the heck alone?
I've never had a dog do this before and am at a loss. -

Is it bleeding very hard?
If you don't trust it, you can look at the internet for a vet that has sunday service or call your vet, they usually have a number for emergency, they can advice you if they think it's not neccesary to come over today.

I googled 'split toenail dog' and 90% of what I read said to vet asap.

This site seemed to have a pretty good write-up about what you could do until you get to a vet.

Just curious, could you not superglue the toenail together? After all it would seal out the air and exposure of the nerve. It might sting when you put the crazy glue on but it will stop in a few seconds. I would think this would hold your dog until you can get them to the Vet.
Just a thought!

The one time this happened to my german shepherd mix, she had to be put under anesthesia to cut the nail off. I got her to the vet right away, and they took care of it. The nail grew out just fine after that, and we never had another problem.
