Cooper is a rescue of unknown origin (found as a stray, in a shelter for their maximum time, then to an all-breed rescue group). His ears are somewhat offset at resting position and his tail was docked before he was found as a stray, but he otherwise looks and acts like a trindle basenji. We occasionally entertain the idea that he may be part rat terrier or something else of similar size and color, but he has to be at least 75% basenji.
Another Stormie Update

Stormie had a vet visit today for a blood gas test, full blood panel, and urinalysis. It went superbly!!!! Little Man is doing wonderfully on the Protocol and is still stable! No increase in bicarbs or potassium! His results are spot on! I couldn't be more pleased with how he's doing! And even better, no more vet visits for 6 months unless something drastic happens!! This is the second stable result in a row he's had so I'm proud as peacock of my little Storm - he's such a trooper!!

Remember to strip test your Basenjis monthly.... consider the DNA test for Fanconi (will be available in March again, go to www.basenjihealth.org)), and last and MOST important, go to a responsible breeder for a pup…. do your homework..... ask for test results, do not just take their word for it.... a puppy is for life!!!
