GA BRAT needs foster homes

    Please everyone, open your hearts and homes to foster. I don't know why, but there is an overflow of Basenjis needing fosters. Right now GA brat has several being boarded and have a couple of more we are trying to get hold of from shelters. Tennessee just got a large group. No matter WHERE you are, please contact brat or even yell at me and I'll have them contact you if you can foster… short term, long term, only males, only females... you are desperately needed. We are so desperate we will gladly transport out of GA to local states so we get these dogs into a foster and out of kennels.

    All this coming at a time when I had to take a break from fostering (over dogged and 2 sick dogs in house)... breaks my heart. Please step up to the plate to help this wonderful breed.

    Please consider fostering-it is joy to help a Basenji! I have fostered two in the last few years-one a young Basenji who had pups at a shelter and an elderly female whose owners were going into an assisted care facility and were going to have her euthanized within a few days if not rescued. The elderly girl lived a few more years-just shy of her 17th birthday. She had never lived with other dogs before and she was fine with my pack-but my dogs knew that she was older and wanted to be left alone. She was spunky though and would nip at them if they got out of line! If I was not having health problems, I would foster one! Jennifer

    I have no idea where the dog went to, but maybe someone on here does. I heard about your car accident long after and am just glad you are okay. (( hugs ))

    @Rocky1: Don't worry anyone,Dogs are coming home to me here at Jaroufa Hounds. Richard always knew that he could bring dogs back and his son finally found me. Anubis and Anuket will stay with me until a home is found or I will keep them . Kathryn Are they still available? How old are they? We presently have a 20 month old r/w well behaved basenji that we are thinking about getting a playmate for. Brindle is prefered but will consider another r/w or Tri from as young as a puppy to 2 years old male. Thank you Ruben
