A Stormie Update
-
I had Stormie to the vet's yesterday for a blood gas test. I waited on pins and needles for the results, as always. The vet came in with a big grin on his face after he had the results and announces that Stormie is doing wonderfully, and he's stable! No need for bicarb increases at all! I nearly did a hppy dance right there in the office!!! This is the first blood gas test since his diagnosis in May that we haven't had to tweek/adjust some of his meds - I am overjoyed!! And some other fabulous news is that my little man lost 2 pounds since his last visit - that Soloxine is doing wonders for his thyroid issue! I am so proud of my baby for being such a trooper through all of this - he really is an angel dog (well, except when he's busy being a basenji! ;) ).

Thank-you! I slept better last night than I have in a long time - today I was on Cloud 9 all day. Fingers crossed that he continues to do so well!

Oh yeh! That is great news! I was sitting in a doctor's waiting room just today and was watching animal planet. I couldn't hear the show, but it was obviously someone who had taken their cat in and got a bad diagnosis and it was showing the family all crying in the room with the doctor. I almost started crying myself just THINKING about if something happened to one of my two kids. Way to go for being a super great Mom. He really appreciates you! :)

You are a trooper too! Kudos to you for all the love you have. I bet Stormie thinks your are his human angel . . . and you are. Great news! :)
