• @nomrbddgs:

Oh, Shadow has a 'licky nose' thing. When you eat something he wants you to lick his nose so he can taste what you ate. If you don't lick his nose he practically sticks his nose in your mouth-YUK!

Oh. Please tell me you don't actually lick the dogs nose . . . .

  • The first time with a clean nose yes, after he licks his nose, no. Hey, there are worse things. Especially after you watch some of them eat poop!

  • Yesterday Penny and Jasper killed a large bunny in their yard first thing in the morning. They both looked like something wild coming off a fresh kill and required baths.

Needless to say, they can keep the kisses and licking to themselves for a while till that visual memory goes away.

    I don't usually do that…but I would 😉

I dunno, you get more germs from a lot of different places than you would from a dog's nose...

Plus....germ exposure gives you a better immune system 🙂

LOL< maybe, but I'm pretty particular where I put my tongue! 😃

  • We used to let the dogs lick/kiss us till the started nursing their anal glands for hours on end.

Our other likes to eat dog, bunny what ever poop, vomit so that ended kisses from him

    Dogs are so disgusting sometimes

  • I do not allow ANY licking. I can't stand it. Thankfully Dashy is not interested in licking but my beagle tries a lot. YUCK!

Don't every buy a basenji from me..gggg…. all of mine are confirmed lickers, some to the point of driving me crazy....:D Most the time I don't mind.... however when the tongue starts sticking to the skin, that is about enough...:D

  • Sahara is a pants licker, why I don't know. She will also lick my ears, especially if I ask her for kisses, which doesn't bother me. She likes to lick my legs, Daddy's too at times. We see it as grooming her pack, any one know why they do this? I think it is all part of taking care of their other pack members!

  • Just a side note here-I used to eat mud cakes when I was little out on the farm-so licking a dog's nose is nothing to mud, bugs, ect.

  • I have some trained to give kisses, I like them in most cases…......I just pick and choose my spots....some times are certainly better than others.:D

  • I used to call Max an obsessive compulsive licker….he had licking OCD. He did not like giving kisses on the lips though--I really do think he didn't want my germs 🙂 Tyler and Zoey, however, do not lick people--at all and do not give kisses. But Zoey will always lick Tyler's feet after he's been outside on the damp grass--it's very cute.

  • our girl when she greats you, gives you tiny little kisses on your arm.

  • My B loves to lick my forehead, ears, and stick his head in my mouth whenever i yawn

  • Wet hair…Deke licks, rubs and will even chew your hair when you get out of the shower. He will climb on the back of the sofa to get to it !!!!!!!!

  • Well after 3 nights Tiggy is an ear licker but it's just a few quick licks then he climbs to his part of the bed and chews on his chew toy for a bit and then snuggles into my shoulder blades.
