She is a rescue dog that we adopted from Taiwan. She had a very hard sad life before she came to live with us, but has adapted extremely well to her new furever home.

Hello and welcome to the forum. What a great thing you did by adopting Cali Mei. I have a basenji/whippet mix from a local shelter. Aren't they the most grateful dogs? Hope to see pics of your b mix soon.
