Hi from Cape Cod

Fela Kuti is our third loveydovey basenji :) the other two we had for 17 and 16 blessed years. This new puppy's grandparents are still in Africa, part of the African AKC project. We feel so honored to be raising an african bush jumping dog, am sure all of you feel the same way. :) Thank you for having this wonderful sharing forum. from chris and tom on cape cod

we got our pup from Eldorado basenjis in north attleboro massachusetts, they are offering full african pups in conjunction with a breeder in new york. Tell me about your full African pup. :) so glad they are introducing new blood into the breed, arent you? did i mention to you that Debbie's Petland in hyannis mass has a basenji pup there with 5 toes, the dew claws were removed but there are 5 distinct toes with toenails. is that a serious genetic abnormality? from chris and tom

Is your Avongara from the Risha x Kasabu litter? If so then my half AF, Sophie is a cousin. Sophie's sire is Avongara Cole of Brushy Run, http://www.basenji.org/african/Cole.htm

Hi Fela!! Welcome to the Forum!!
I have 2 EL DORADO dogs!! They are great breeders. I'm sure you're gonna have lots of fun with your new pup. I may have met your little one already as I saw a couple of the El Dorado litters some time ago.
I'd love to see pics of your litte one.

:D :D :D Fun people.:D :D
The lady in NY is Jean Martin, she was at the show in MD on Sunday. Jean had our Max's brother with her, it was cool to see him.

I love Jeannie. She's so neat!
I had never met her before, she's our first B's breeder, I really enjoyed talking to her. She had this ridgeback that was just a big baby, but huge!:)

The more I learn, the more fun it is and I was never that interested in dog shows. I'm just starting to understand just what they're looking at.
