@weedtrek Possibly Basenji mix, nose looks a bit wider and the eyes are less oval. Could well be a Basenji mix though.

Well put Lisa, thanks for the reminder. In the end, for members of BCOA regardless if you are a breeder, someone that shows or does performance events, or just has the most important family companion… you are important to the breed. Make your voice heard and vote! All Basenji owners should be part of the BCOA, as it is your club, your breed. You make the difference and the people that serve on the Board are your voice. Just so everyone knows, I am not running, but I have strong feelings for the people that would best serve the Breed and the Club. We have some very good people that have thrown their hats in the ring and would be a wonderful addition to the Basenji Club of America

@Thana: she does have basenji characteristics then apart from her colours and looks.- i also think she must have some basenji blood! She is lovely and lucky no matter what! adorable little face:))))) Having read about the characteristics I think she does. The lady with the basenji that we met also commented on some of the things she was doing as "very basenji" (eg. standing on her back legs so she could see what was going on). Has a lovely wrinkly forehead too. Got very frustrated with me earlier and did her funny bark, more of a wierd howl really. She is def one of a kind. Its a shame we have to have her spayed (not that I could ever justify letting her have a litter).

I have found that if I take my B to doggie daycare (even if it's only for half a day), she is ehausted when I bring her home. She will let me do the dishes without any basenji help! She also tends to treat our doggie friends a little nicer when they come around. Having a worn out basenji is deifinitely worth the $15!!

@WBL: BDawg post in another link about great winter coats from Montana Dog Wear: http://www.montanadogware.com/photos.html They are nice, soft and warm, the only downside (IMO) is they don't cover the chest These were real nice. I saw one B was from Columbus. Where are they hiding?????
