Mirtillo and Pip

  • My sister's pup Pip is spending the weekend at our place. Today we went to the Zoo and had some great fun. Pip is a brave little man! He did all the things Tillo did as well :D Of course we took pics!

First some of Mirtillo and Pip at home..

    Tillo in the sun

    Basenji feet

    Pip!!!!!!!!

    Give me that flip flop!!

    What are you doing?

    Wrinkly face

    Checking out what Pip's doing..

    Pip hanging around :D

    He can also rest..

    And then Zooooo pics :D

Tillo not impressed by the hyena..

    Pip isn't scared either..

We would really like a treat now…

Yes.. Elephants… I know... Now can I get a treat?

Wooooooow.. look at that, look at that!!!! (it was a small train for children ;))

    Looking at the monkeys :)

Tillo trying to play with one

Mr Monkey wasn't really interested in Tillo.. ;)

The King (he lay next to the glass… What a beautiful animal!)

    These are fun!

Tillo really liked these nosy creatures

    They liked him too :D

Tillo all excited showing his ridge

Pip needed to sit a bit higher.. otherwise he couldn't see it ;)

Love this pic with the reflection in the window :)

Looking at the rhinos.. as you can see.. Tillo wasn't interested at all ;)

    Look a penguin!

    Cool dude :D

    More penguins

    Pip under attack!

    Brave puppy!

We had fun! And we were all tired afterwards.. :D

  • I wish I lived in a place where dogs were allowed at the zoo.

what a little terror, er, I mean terrier. <gg>very cute. And Tillo is as gorgeous as ever.</gg>

  • Thank you for the fun pictures that brought a smile to my face.

  • Ooooooh!!! Ooooooh!!! Ooooooh!!! :p:D:p:D

You know how much I love Tillo (and friends) at the Zoo pics!!! If I'm not mistaken, this is the Part 3 (of Tillo at the Zoo) series!!!

Pip sure is pretty brave and it's pretty cool Tillo can stand up straight like that (and showing off his muscular built) though I really love his eyes…

The hyena and dog 'face-to-face' is always a fun scene!!! :D:D:D

  • great pix!!! they are both soooooooo cute! and i'm so jealous of dogs actually being able to go places in europe!!

  • Wow! I had to go back and look at them twice. Not sure how my Abbey would act at the zoo.

  • Thanks for all the nice comments! The Zoo is fun, fun, fun! Tillo always becomes over-excited. If he could, he would jump through the window of the car as soon as he knows where we're going :D ;)

  • What WONDERFUL pictures! Sadly I don't think any zoo here in the US lets you take pets… I'd be shocked if one did. I was so impressed in France to see dogs everywhere, from museums to restaurants to city buses.

  • It is wonderful to see Tillo and Pip interacting with the animals, from the charging primate to a hyena. I imagine it is good stimulus for the zoo animals as well.
Thanks, I always enjoy your adventures.

  • Great pictures Janneke!!!

The one with the Hyena that close is great!!!

  • Houston

Wonderful pictures Janneke..that little Pip looks so cute..of course Tillo is still my favorite B boy..the wrinkles, the eyes..perfection..

  • I love the zoo pictures - some of the smaller zoos here allow us to take in dogs (under control of course) it's all excellent experience.

No Kidding…. I agree, I would love to be able to do that with mine.....

  • Wow - really great pictures! Both dogs are beautiful. :)

Can't beieve you're allowed to take your dogs in to the zoo over there - that is amazing!

  • The pictures are beautiful, as always. Looks like you had a great time at the zoo. Can't go to the zoo here either!!!! …..I'll take some pictures of our walks here tomorrow, hopefully everyone will enjoy them,.. Although I guarantee they won't be as nice as these!!

Pip reminds me of Batman who is Nayru's bratty little brother. She is SO patient with him. I will be petting her and he is chewing on her head, neck, leg, ear. :) Last night he had her by the ear and was tugging her all over the living room. She never beat him down for it. I would have!

@Elysium: Yeees - same on Zuri :D It looks … strange  But I get used to it. The winter coat always goes over her tail and I don't like that. Thinking the wind will move under. So I fix it. The rain coat is thinner and doesn't move. On Thabo, it doesn't look like a thong so much. He has more muscles than Zuri and nothing can go "into" his skin. You can buy a green one??? We only have brown, black and red. But someone told me, that the brown looks very green :D Tillo doesn't like it when his tail is on top of the coat.. don't know why that is.. ;) I just search on the site where I bought it… it's brown.. :D It looks green to me ;) (doesn't it look green on the pics?) I was thinking about buying the human rain coat, so Tillo and I can walk in style.. gg.. but it's way too expensive :(

@tsjoe007: As they are serious breeders I think they are. They only breed Basenji's so I am pretty sure the pups are ok. But nevertheless I'll inquire after. Greetz from a nervous awaiting "addict";) I hope your right :) I think it's very important that breeders test their dogs. You can read all about it on this forum! (I expect you did already… :D)
