I had a spinal injury a few years ago and the surgeon warned me of permanent nerve damage causing incontinence being a potential consequence if it got worse. It's called "cauda equina syndrome", I did a quick search and it looks like it occurs in dogs too. Essentially you lose all nerve feeling on your bowel, hence not knowing when you need to go. I'm not sure what the solution is (if any) but it could be a clue.
Nutura Sold

OPPS would have been nice if I spelled the heading correctly… it is Natura, not Nutura
Deal completed on June 1, 2010, Natura has been sold to P&G. This effects Innova, EVO, California Natural....
I expect we will see a big change in the quality of these foods. (IMO)
As I side note, I have been using Fromm's dry (mixed with other brands) and really like it. I have used the Fromm's gold and Gold Star products

I'm sooo disappointed that this sale has happened. Unfortunately, since I don't trust what will happen to the food, I've taken EVO off my list. I recently switched to Instinct and have had great results with that. I wish Fromms was sold locally to have that as an option as well.
-
It's a big corp so of course they'll put somebody in charge to get costs down and make it cheaper to get their bottom line up and increase their return on investment. P&G has so many product lines that it's unfortunate they have to get their hands on dog food too.

I'm very disappointed. EVO has been part of our repertoire here.
I know I can find Orijen around here. I think I'll go grab a couple of bags of EVO today. Nothing will have changed yet, right?

I would think that you are still OK…
As far as Fromm's, while it is not sold local here either, I just order on line and have it shipped

We switched fro EVO to Orijen several months ago and are very happy with it. I do mix in regular Innova, but only about 20% of their food is the Innova. Guess I need to look for an alternative if I notice formula changes.

Problem is not a formula change, but using cheaper ingredients and from a wide range of suppliers, whoever is cheaper at the time they are buying..again IMO

We shouldn't see any major changes for at least 18 months. At least, that is what we experienced as a pet supplies retailer with the Iams/Euk change. I really like the Naure's Variety. I have some fill issues with Fromm and out dated product. Good food just check expiration dates on bags
-
I also have issue with Fromm being sold in Petland (where they sell puppies and kittens). I had done a search to find a local distributor and found out it was Petland then did some more searching and found several Petland locations that carry Fromm.

:)I feed my pets Dynamite dog food. It is of much higher quality than stuff you can get at the pet store. It costs a little more but you aren't paying for fillers. The company is out of Idaho and carries products for other animals and humans. I am a distributor since my friend hooked me up with horse feed from them about ten years ago and sold me on their products! My pets eat better than I do!
