My girls have learned to leave the cat alone, pretty much, after scarring has occurred. Gemma though, keeps trying to get her to play - she makes noises and goes down in front of the cat, who of course, hisses and swats her a good one - she has more fur than Shaye, so she has some protection, but I swear sometimes that cat eggs her on, lying right next to her favorite toys, etc., so Gemma can't get to them. It's funny to watch.
Malu the Cat
-
Malu and I were sitting on the porch yesterday to watch the passing thunderstorm. Malu decided to jump up on the window sill for a closer look.
My girlfriend thinks I accidentally purchased a cat.
-
Basenjis are very cat-like. Mine loves to walk along the window sill.
Once they learn how to do it, they will never stop.
-
My girlfriend thinks we got a cat also. Both my basenjis like to climb on the sill.
-
They also like to wipe their noses on the window
Lovely pics of Malu -

Lovely pics of MaluThat in my house is known as "dog art"…..
-
All the reachable windows and sliding doors in my house are covered in "dog nose art!" Sitting in windows or on something high enough to let them look out is one of the great joys of these cat/dogs.
-
They ARE half cat, I thought everyone already knew that
-
nose art… that's how i'll have to think of it.
(and, yes, they are totally half cat)

I don't have too many windows that my B has been able to reach yet (by prudent design) but she will sit at the patio door in between the vertical blinds looking out into the yard at squirrels, birds or just enjoying the sun.
