  • 4 day old cell phone. :( i wonder what verizon will say when i bring this in?
and those cute little indentations you see are teeth marks!

i remember when i met fender mary k said "this has been the least chewing litter i have ever had".

    what a joke!

  • Mine have chewed 2 of my cell phones. Rio is attracted to flashing lights that go off when it rings.

  • maybe if it wouldve been in a leather case this phone chewing would make sense….it is so weird, he never bothered my old one....wonder what it was about this one he liked so much?
lvoss, what did your phone company say?

  • Do you have the insurance on your phone? I know that I have washed a cell phone, drop one out of my Jeep while driving (it was a Wrangler and the windows were off, it slid off of the dashboard, very slow motion when it happened), my hubby has dropped one in the toilet, etc and we had the insurance and only had to pay $50 to replace it.

Maybe Fender wants his own phone and that is his way of telling you he would like one that isn't a flip phone so it would be eaiser for him to use. :D

I unknowingly dropped my phone in a parking lot, drove over it, and didn't realized where I had lost it for two days:eek: I went back, when I realized, and there it was! It actually lasted for another year!

    Oh dear! :D

  • I have insurance on my phone so when I called to request the replacement they asked why. When I told them my dog chewed it, they asked, "Is the dog alright?" and were glad to hear that she was.

  • Aw, c'mon, Ambered, cut him a little slack! He was only trying to call in a pizza order and save you from having to make dinner! He just got a little too…ummmm...enthusiastic! :D

  • Maybe he was trying to call you and invite you over to his party but his paws were still practicing to get the right number. You know, there may have been that wonderful smell of those fingers on that handi - and he just wanted to savor the taste of those things that smell like you…

  • no cellphone eating here, but hes terrified of the beeps my themometor makes…WEIRD

  • About a week after bringing Giz home, my cell phone got some decorative teeth marks, too. Giz had gotten the cordless phone, my cell, our tv remote, our dvd remote, our surround sound remote and our son's remote all down from various areas of the house and had them lined up on the floor like a doggie buffet, just deciding which one to destroy first. Luckily our son caught him and saved everything from certian electronic death. :)

  • Cell Phones, Remotes, Reading Glasses, Remote Car Keys, etc. etc. etc….all tasty treats for a CHEWY B :D :D :D

I found the transcript from the documentary. If the age part is true, the rest is not (unless there's difference between our European bred Basenjis and those in Africa): NARRATOR: Sharing the same curly-tailed trait [as the Akita] is the venerable African Basenji. DEBBYE TURNER: Basenji is the granddad of ancient dogs. However, they’re not that trainable. They will not do obedience tricks like other breeds. Come back here. And here’s an example! NARRATOR: There is something else very wolf-like about a Basenji… SOUND OF DOGS HOWLING NARRATOR: …its yodel. These breeds reveal much about how dogs may have appeared and acted after they first transitioned from pack hunters to scavengers and provide clues as to why they may have first appealed to humans. DEBBYE TURNER: You won’t see Basenjis doing tricks, but because of their closeness to their wolf ancestors, they are considered very adept hunters. Here's the video link. Basenjis mentioned 25 min. into it. https://www.pbs.org/video/dog-tales-vskr2y/

I have had a couple stained glass made, but there is normally a 3-4 month lead time as the artists are already booked up for Xmas this yr. Most of the artists on etsy will be booked this late in the yr, I had two quilts and a needle felt made a couple yrs ago and I placed my order in June in order to guarantee Xmas delivery. If you have a nice photo, there is a company called treasure knits that does wonderful woven afghans out of a photo with about a one week turn around. I have had both afghans and pillows made from photos as xmas gifts from them and they do great work.

The only sweat glands on a dog are on the feet. They keep their foot pads supple, but also sent mark the trail. I actually like the way goober smells. Probably because I grew up with a dish called Frito and Chili pie. My old dog Missy had the standard stinky dog smell which I wasn't too fond of, but I didn't hate it enough to give her a bath more than once a month. I wonder if th

Hollie will hide her treats and her dog food. Her favorite hiding place is under MY pillow in the bed. She has tried to hide her entire food bowl by pushing one of her plush toys with her nose in an attempt to get the toy on top of her food bowl. Why doesn't she just use her mouth to pick it up and place it on the bowl? Silly dog!

Yes I agree Pat, Fort Funston could get very crowded and dangerous for smaller dogs as packs of bigger dogs playing could cause injury. My 2 Basenjis were very good and stayed pretty close to me and got used to the crowds. The only problem I had there was with this lady who had an older Tri color female Basenji. It would bite my blk/wht, Nika who was 1-1/2 on the butt. A few times of that and I stayed way away from her. The problem is Nika was a very playful girl and never did anything like that. A few times of getting nipped on the butt started her doing it to other dogs and Basenjis. A Basenji would want to play and Nika would chase and give a nip and the the other dog would get mad and a fight would occur. Nobody would ever get hurt thankfully. It was rare that it would happen as I took them there for 9 years, mostly on the weekend without problem. We had a lot of fun and people loved the Basenjis! Ringo, the red/wht was a very entertaining clown when we'd go down to the beach.

@Gooby: There's also this one: When your humans take you out, poop twice. Rest assured, they only brought one bag. Oh how true …
