Hi there,
Funny enough, my guy is from a breeder in Pembroke - just down the road from Ottawa! They've had litters on and off over the years, but I'm not sure whether they're active at the moment (last I heard, one of the moms was in a "false heat" and they might try again with her in the summer). In any event, it's easiest to politely contact whatever active breeders you can find in Ont/QC, and I find they're very nice and often able to refer you to others should their bookings be full. That's how I did it. Best of luck!!

Have you contacte her breeder? Responsible breeders have contracts that require is you have to give up your Basenji it comes back to them?
And if that is not the case with her breeder, have you contacted BRAT? www.basenjirescue.org

No I have not contact her Breeder or BRAT. Thanks forgiving me a heads up. However she was puchased from SPCA a few years ago. Thanks again.

Doesn't the SPCA have requirements about returning a dog to them if you can keep them? I am not sure what they do or do not require.

Good luck with your Foxxy! I hope you can find a good home for her; I found my little basenji on this forum a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully, someone else is looking for another one. Do you have a picture?

Thanks for the advice. I really do hate to give Foxxy up. I am torn right now however I will upload some pictures later today.

Keeping a basenji with the current family is always something to strive for.
Is that possible??
