Thanks everyone for the encouraging words! Yes Rescuing is the best option. Sure it is a no kill shelter but it makes room for new dogs to be rescued and it puts her in a wonderful home! She is SLOWLY coming along. She likes to try to come up in my lap now. Shes a wonderful lil dog and Anubis LOVES having someone his size around. She "Smiles" she will get excited and show all of her teeth and wag her tail…I try to get pics but she always gets scared of the camera.
We're gonna take out them frogs….

Backyards have lots of noisy leopard frogs. The noise patrol trys to find the guilty parties. The basenji boys have been absolutely worthless at taking frogs out of the pond, they have gotten rid of any ground burrowing critters, but just won't take on the pond.

You have to tell em the frogs taste just like chicken. Beautiful dogs Lisa!

I picked up 10 goldfish for $5 at the fish store on the way home, that may get rid of some of the tadpoles, or become whippet sushi.

Yes, beautiful whippets, so pretty…frogs are a delicacy here at our house, until they are eaten the third time..after being regurgitated once or twice..eeekkk

What a lovely pair of dogs.
We had a pond in the front yard of our other home. When we lived there, I put some beautiful koi fish in the pond. We had the happiest raccoons, if I remember correctly.

LOL!
My mom had a huge orange cat when I was growing up named Goldie who would go down to the pond and catch frogs. We always knew he was eating frogs when he'd come up to the house with his mouth foaming like he took a drink of a beer with a really nice head on it…

Great pics…

That second picture is great! Loved it! Thanks!
How did it go? Did they get any?

The rain stopped thier foray, last week I counted 23 frogs doing laps in the pond while I was in the hot tub next to it. They hide well during the day and come out to swim at night. I added tiny goldfish last night to take down the tadpole population. When I put in larger goldfish a few yrs ago the possums and owls started snacking on them.
