Late Monday afternoon walk

Tracking field mice.

We hiked for 1 hour then drove right back home, he ate dinner and played for another 2 hours. He just now settled down on the couch.

Like the one where he's hunting fieldmice, as long as he doesn't catch any ;) Couldn't cope with that ;)
Can't wait to be able to take Malaika out, begining to feel institutionalised :D

Love the pictures. It really gives you the feel of the basenji as a sight hound, peering out over the grass - he looks so alert and ready to go!

There's lizards and mice in the grass and he stands there tilting his head back and forth listening then real fast jumps up and dives into the tall grass. The ground squirrels run across that trail and he goes crazy pulling me. My previous 2 Basenjis I used to take up there off leash. I have to be careful with Buddy and now they don't allow off leash anymore.

Buddy's so handsome…too bad about the not allowed off leash. Looks like he would have had a bigger blast than he did. Loved the weather out there a couple weeks ago. :)
