A friend of ours talked to the woman with the 7 month old female today. The original owner was older, got her from a shelter (as a Jack Russell) and she was just too much energy. The current 'foster' took her to help the original owner, but she has several other dogs, the basenji has already escaped once. She has chickens, etc., and her husband wants her re-homed soon. I saw a (poor quality) photo and she looks pure basenji but has one drop-tipped ear and barks occasionally, she is intact still. No one I know is up for a youngster like this, but we are asking around. If anyone out there is interested,I'll help with transport.
Helping Medfly Brigade Basenji Rescue
-
A message from Karen Jones at Medfly Brigade Basenji Rescue in CA. They could use your help.
Please pardon our asking for help, but if you go to the web site below and vote for Medfly Brigade Basenji Rescue (We are there!!) every day and ask all your friends to help also, we could get a grant that could go a long way to help our kidlets with their vet, food, heating, and costs of bailing them out of shelters. Please take a moment to mark this on your favorites and vote (for us) every day?and ask your friends to help!
Thanks from all of us for taking the time to help our many kidlets as we work with them and prepare them for their forever homes.
