Are you allowed to compete (not just train) in racing or lure course with a neutered dog or spayed bitch ?
In France you are not suppose to, but what about the USA, Finland, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Danemark…...?
Yes, absolutely in the US. It is soo much easier..the boys are less likely to follow the girls, and since the girls can't run with they are in season, you can race any time of year.

If you are not far from the WI border, the BCOSW club is having a coursing fundraising event at Lurecoursing Fanatics on May 9th in Somers, WI. It's fenced in and it's just for fun and open to any breed. $5 for one run, $8 for two. I'm bringing Zoni so she can do a puppy run or two. The info for the ASFA field trial in Belvidere, IL is also on the BCOSW website.

If I tried to pick up Sam and carry him away from a fight he would have a go at me. When he is worked up and I've tried to get him away he has bitten me. In every other respect he is a wonderful dog whom I love v much. I find it interesting that I haven't come across any other basenjis in this forum as aggressive as mine. Sam doesn't just growl or snap at other male dogs he actively pushes them and tries to goad them into fighting. I'm beginning to think that Sam is a particularly 'rambunctious' pup?
