Aj has been so good about staying out of the trash I didn't even think about the leftovers from dinner two nights ago when I got out of the truck. I had the trash bag between the driver seat and the door. Yesterday, I left AJ in the truck to take care of some business inside our terminal. I was gone about 45 minutes.
Well, when I opened the door…you guessed it...food boxes all over the driver side floor and not a scrap of leftovers left over. Even the bag was licked clean. AJ, knowing he had gotten into something he shouldn't have, ran back into the sleeper berth area, jumped on the bed and made himself as small as he could, crying the whole time.
I couldn't get him in serious trouble because it was partly my fault for leaving the very tempting garbage. He already felt bad about it anyway. Still, I can't just let him get away with it. I ended up scolding him and leaving it at that.
He slept so well with that very full tummy that he snored so loud I had to push him a couple times to quiet him. Since he ate all that food, he has had to poop five times. I would, too...that was a lot of food even for me.
Today, he has a case of the toots from all the green beans he ate yesterday. Each time he lets one, he looks behind himself to see where the noise came from. Hopefully, he gets over this soon. He might have to sleep on the catwalk tonight!
Trash will henceforth be removed as soon as I am near receptacle.
