It appears the post has been removed.. I checked my Facebook where I shared the post, and couldn't find anything. Assuming the owner has been found?

I just can't stop thinking about this. I've been hugging my boy just a little tighter.

@seaslugg@aol.com: We got Raven home tonight!! Thank you for support!!! I am so happy you got Raven home. You now can be a good ambassador to the "don't use invisible fencing" brigade. Call any animal shelter and find out how many dogs they get in with collars on. Once a dog bolts through the pain, they won't risk it coming back in. Many end up dead. There are lots of options if you can't have "real" fencing, but often the only choice is simply go out with your dog, on a lead or line. Apt folks survive doing it. Oh wait, and so do the dogs. Please post pics and yes, PLEASE tell us how you got your pet back!

<> This is generally considered not good advice for dogs like Basenjis. Unlike other dogs, they are not very forgiving with people that cause them pain. You will likely end up with a dog that becomes fearful of people reaching for his head. Often squeezing a dog's muzzle to alleviate play biting will have the opposite effect as well, as it charges a dog up even more. And FTR, rubbing a dog's face in anything is cruel, and ineffective teaching. Not one, single professional trainer that is up to date on current techniques would advocate that. There are many threads here about working to reduce puppy play biting with Basenjis. Look under the training threads.
