Noooo no further south please  it's bad enough where they are for us northerners as it is lol
Sorry to alarm you so! It's just some of the Club Shows used to be around the Maidenhead & Windsor area where many of us lived back then, but they have crept gradually northward as have many of the Champ. Shows.
It also not easy getting anywhere from down here on the South Coast and most journeys involve the London Orbital Car Park AKA the M25. I know there are a lot of you up there in North, so it is probably fair the way it is. It was just an Idea anyway.

That's ok
I have a picture of me at a club show when I was about 5 or 6, so about 27 years or so ago and we stayed with Elspet in Windsor so would that have been when they were held further down? -
This brings a few things back; BOBA at the TAVR Hall im Maidenhead, and at Holyport for the Christmas show; BCGB at Old Windsor.
There are quite a few people in South Central these days and while we don't expect to have club shows south of the Thames any more, venues like Roade while not further south are much easier for us than Brampton or Alconbury because we avoid the M25 on a Sunday evening. -

The picture links should be with you, enjoy!
My little girl seem to be protesting at being shown two day running at the weekend and is not happy stacking at the moment, so I may be in for a rough ride. I have the option of taking her to a Match tonight but I think I will give it a miss.
Good luck for the Show.

I judged the BOBA Christmas Open Show in 1985 and that was at the TA Hall in Maidenhead.

Yes indeed! Oh dear, I fear we are going to start sounding like Old Codgers.

"Old Codgers" the definition is of advanced years and seen as slightly eccentric or amusing, so I suppose it is very apt! I think the slightly eccentric is a prerequisite for Dog showing.
Some of us old codgers are not looking forward to getting up at 3.00 am tomorrow morning to drive up to Blackpool!

Thanks Robyn. You have a great web site and some lovely dogs.
