@senjisilly just now saw your reply. Thanks for the pedigree website. I knew about it and it’s a great resource.
Pinky nose :)

I have actually been penalised for lack of pigment in the showring. I think it just depends what the judge is going to pick on that day, but it does get mentioned in critiques quite a lot over here.
The strange thing is Elsa had a litter this winter and had a lovely black nose throughout. Since she weaned them, her nose has gone gone pink again. She has also had a season as well which I don't think has helped. -
I thought that was called Dudley nose, but there are a variety of names for various forms of depigmentation.

Thanks for sharing…but..I don?t mean Modys node has change the clour suddenly without any reason. The reason is, that she inherited the less pigmentation of nose by her mum and she have had it since she was born, but it is more pink now. And I also knoe I am not able to change it at all, but I would like to improve it a little bit:)

I remember the vet had a name for it. People used to look at Nipper's nose and ask what happened because it looked chapped.
-
My ridgeback friends asked me if Mody is livernosed - that?s how they call ridgeback with brown or liver nose pigmentation:))))

Thanks for that Snorky998, if the elderberry doesn't work, I shall try the vitamin E.
-
I hope there will be any product with Elderberries in Slovak or Czech pharmacies….
-
I bought mine on the internet.

Would you be so kind and give me adress where you bought it, please?:)

it is really quite normal for a Basenji's nose to lose colour at times. From what I've read there is nothing yet proved to darken them although I take your word that elderberry and nettle work, Benkura. Various trace elements have also been recommended as has Seaweed supplement.
Bereke's (Nakura's sister) nose does lighten at times although the other litttermates don't. Gbala always has a lighter nose in the winter - I never have tried anything to darken hers.

I am currently trying the Elderberry extract 500mg. Here's the link. As I said, she's only been on it for a couple of days so I'm hoping it's going to work!

nose that fades in the winter - her in MN we call it "winter nose" and guess what - it gets darker all by itself.
