• Like our cat zoe likes to sleep on the back of the couch. This time it was on the far corner where there is no wall to support her. I took this picture on my phone and when I showed it to hubby he handed his phone to me to take another. Just as we were setting it up we hear a thump. Unfortunately she isn't as well balaced as our cat because she fell off in her sleep and I dont think she landed on her feet either. I swear she looked around to either see who pushed her off, or whether anyone saw that embarrassing moment.

  • Ha, ha, ha…Liyah has done the same thing...she'll fall asleep on the back of the couch or on the edge of the couch and eventually will fall off. Although, because I don't want her to wake up (I'll take any down time from her crazy puppy antics that I can get), if I see her sleeping like that, I try to move her away from the edge so that she won't fall and wake up. :D:D

  • My b's get pushed back to the center of the couch or bed…I hate for them to hit the floor...they always seem so confused when they wake up there!

  • Lenny used to like to sleep on a pillow I had on top of his crate. I woke up to a thud once as he was hitting the floor - sad but funny!

  • The funniest thing after a sleep fall is they always look around to see 'who pushed them'. Then they give you the stink eye for the next couple of hours!!!

When very young, my Katie rolled to he bottom of the bed and slid over the edge. The top sheet was still tucked in so she was in a hammock type situation. When the top sheet finally came loose and she hit the carpet, blamed it on us, and wouldn't sleep under the covers for days.

  • Medjai's done that while awake before. He likes to lay down on the arm rest and play with his toys, and he's fallen off before just watching me. I guess he was too interested in me and didn't know he was slipping. He was able to try to catch himself a little, however.

Mine hasn't looked like she wanted to know who pushed her off…mine is more like "you didn't just see that, I would never do something so dumb." 😉
