Oh my. I know I've said it before -- I could never be a breeder.
I'd wind up one of those crazy people that the folks on Animal Precinct have to
visit to remove 300 dogs from the home. :-)Beautiful puppies. Just looking at the pictures warms the cockles of the heart, no?

Okay I have a stupid question (I was trying to backtrack to your original post and can't seem to add correctly) … How long is the typical gestation period for basenjis?

The picture is kind of fuzzy because they never stand still but you can see the one pup's tail. They are all about that curled right now.
As for the gestation period, it is 63 days from the day they ovulate.

Here are some pics from this week. The puppies are 5 weeks old. I am not sure how Bella avoided the camera so well this week but she did.

While hard to tell totally from the pictures…. I like Clark and Bella the best. Hard to tell about Bella's shoulders... but both she and Clark have the best rears from what I can tell both with a very nice shelf....
