Basenji Specialty in Portland metro area…Friday 7/11/08

The Willamette Valley Basenji Club will be hosting it's 12th Annual Specialty Show on Friday, July 11, 2008.

Puppy Sweepstakes will start at 10:00am, followed by Veteran Sweepstakes.

Lunch from 11:30am-12:45pm. There is a nice luncheon hosted by the club and exhibitors and spectators are welcome to join us.

Junior Showmanship will start at 12:45pm [we have 7 juniors entered!]

Breed judging will start at 1:15pm
[about one hour of male dog classes]
[about one hour of female dog classes]

~ ~ ~ 10 minute break ~ ~ ~

Best of Breed judging with 11 specials and the non-regular class winners and WD/WB.

AFRICAN STOCK EXHIBITION will be approximately 30 minutes after Best of Breed is complete.

There are AKC lure trials on the weekend, in Cathlamet, WA (west of Longview, WA).

Have a great show …... wish I could be there.. but alas... I have to work... (so I can pay the electic bill for the Air conditioner during the heat wave..., even the B's say that 109 is too hot!!)...
Interesting that I do find that the hot weather (extreme heat) is really tough on my elders...
