  • Forgot to add this is at Red Sunset Park, in Gresham, Oregon.

  • Have a great show …... wish I could be there.. but alas... I have to work... (so I can pay the electic bill for the Air conditioner during the heat wave..., even the B's say that 109 is too hot!!)...
Interesting that I do find that the hot weather (extreme heat) is really tough on my elders...

  • Kathy… I will be there with Katie Campbell.... I look forward to seeing you there. Should be a great day for it. :)

@laurieannechen There is a SoCal Basenji meetup this Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 9 AM- 12 noon, Laguna Beach Dog Park www.lagunabeachdogpark.com Here is a link to the Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/359744554994753/ Join the Facebook group "Orange County (CA) Basenji Meet Ups" https://www.facebook.com/groups/942444349188499/ They are trying to set up meetups at least once a month. With the COVID-19 virus meetups were on hiatus but now that some dog parks are opening up meetups for Basenjis are starting up again. I live in San Diego so I really have to think about driving 1.5 hours with 2 senior Basenjis. Have fun! Lynn Bilotta

I'm moving to Lakewood, Ohio, about 40 minutes north of Copley, in two weeks!! There are TONS of basenji people in Ohio, spread out all over the state. I've noticed there is a dog park in Lakewood, obviously that's a bit of a drive for you, but perhaps we could get together for a play date! I've also been told that Ohio has a lot of good dog parks, and I know there are a lot of parks and forest trails and stuff to take your dogs to. I have two brindle girls. This thread has pictures of Callie http://www.basenjiforums.com/showthread.php?t=9968 plus a couple of pictures here http://www.basenjiforums.com/showthread.php?t=8363 and you can also look through my gallery to see pictures of Lola.

This is the lovely picture of basenji silence after a day at the dog park. [image: atthepark.jpg] We had a great meet! Anne and Don brought their 3 ( Nikki- tri fem, Topper- black male, and Eddie- tri male). Beth brought her 2 (Bella-tri fem and Frank- red male), a new couple brought their 3 (newborn baby, Eshi - red fem, and a 5yr old german shepard named Molly just introduced to the family,) and I had my two (Caesar- red male, and Cairo - brindle male). We also met out of the blue, a couple who had adopted a brindle female that was named Dreammaker. She was very timid, but had fun meeting the pack. There were crazy basenji runs, squirell chases and the normal chaos and fun that comes with a pack! We had a great time. Hopefully pictures will follow.
