    I live in the Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania, and I have an 8 yr old female basenji who loves to play & has never met another basenji. She gets along with all dogs, but I think she'd really enjoy meeting a kindred spirit. We also have an 8 yr old English Shepherd (think Lassie), and she spends hours grooming him, but he never returns the favor! They play non-stop & Foxy has yet to meet a dog (or any animal) that she doesn't like. Are there any other Basenji owners in my area that would like to get the dogs together for a play date?

    Hi Tasia. I see that it has been a couple of years since you posted but we are in the Lehigh Valley and have a Basenji mix who would love a play date. He is only 3 years old though, so you know.

    There is a dog park in Bellevue. Is that too far? It’s not usually very crowded. That’s why I like it. Maybe we can wait until the weather is a bit better and not so wet! My cell. 4122511212. You can message me

    I'm moving to Lakewood, Ohio, about 40 minutes north of Copley, in two weeks!! There are TONS of basenji people in Ohio, spread out all over the state. I've noticed there is a dog park in Lakewood, obviously that's a bit of a drive for you, but perhaps we could get together for a play date! I've also been told that Ohio has a lot of good dog parks, and I know there are a lot of parks and forest trails and stuff to take your dogs to. I have two brindle girls.     Anyone interested & available to meet this weekend? Weather looks best tomorrow (Fri) or Sat. Also looking like the weather will be good next Fri & Sat. I'm willing to meet at any of the parks we have been considering on this thread (West Chester, Phoenixville or Oaks) Also, if you're interested, Wagsworth does a FREE Saturday stay & play (which just means you stay with your dog while they play - rather than dropping off for day care). Chase had an unexpected "sleepover" there Monday night - brought him there to play just for the afternoon & then couldn't get back because the roads were so bad from that unexpected storm. We missed him, but he LOVES it there - a treat for him & a little break from him for our sweet little (neurotic) border collie! Cindy
