    ok, the reason I was telling her "Pretty Girl" was because that has always been the only way to get her to "talk" and that is what I was trying to do, but I definitely agree that I was in the wrong at that point. He is very persistent when it comes to aggravating her. I have noticed that sometimes she will back down, is she losing her dominance? and one last question, should I intervene when she fights him to take the toy that he is playing with?

    IMO, no… I would not intervene

    Ready to commit myself!!! Hahaha.. Alleycat- so incredibly adorable, I love the look on his face in the first one…might be a hint of mischief in there?! Lol The little black and white bundles get me everytime! I fell in love with breed and wanted a red and white...but after receiving Oakley...it's hard not to have the black and whites melt me. Take lots of pics, it goes by quicker than I remember thinking it would. Love his wide white stripe and his little white mitten foot in the back...he looks overall to be a "cool, laid back type"?! Perhaps it's because I was so used to the panic look as Oakley was panicked by many things back then!

    Make sure you use a good cleaner to get rid of the pee/poo smells. I think often we think its clean, but the dogs can still smell the area, and think, ok, this is where I go…We had an issue with a b peeing on the bed. Using an cleaner that breaks up the "matter" was heaven sent to us.

    I used to hike frequently with mine, and considered getting them backpacks so they could haul some of their own water. However, when I did research, the recommendation was not to give them more than 10% of their weight to carry, which would be less than 2 lbs each for my girls. I decided I could carry that 3.5 pounds of water myself quite easily. So I don't have any recommendations, but if all he is carrying is mail, I think any of them would be fine.

    @snorky998: Saw a young male in Milwaukee on Saturday walking near the lake front toward the Circus Wagon Parade grounds. We were stuck in traffic and could only yell out the window to say what a cutie he was. Was accompanied by a male 2 legger and another small dog. Anyone from the forum? I dunno, but "male 2 legger" made me laugh! :D
