My name is Everliene, I live in the Netherlands with my husband, daughter, three cats, two rats and a 8 weeks old Basenji puppy.
We hope that we can ex-change knowledge and stories about the Basenji.
@Motala - That is good that you talked to Jan and glad to hear that she had not been spayed. I still think that your Vet and you should connect with Dr. Gonto about your girl's blood work and blood gas results and if he has any thoughts about it.
Welcome aboard, but do share his registered name ? Who are Dad and Mom and what was his date of birth so we can be sure to add him to the Basenji pedigree on-line database (with a photo ???) for the world to share him.

@basenjilovers - She is very cute, please make sure that DNA testing was done for Fanconi and PRA. And if not or you are not sure, you can get the test kits at www.ofa.org. You do the test as it is a cheek swab.
Welcome! I love your web site and all the photos, your basenjis are very beautiful. Your life must be very interesting, I hope to hear about many of your adventures. And your English is very good!

Yup, that's correct. I do feel sorry for the breeder, because I first contacted him in December, when the testresults of Jenson weren't known yet. Now he still hasn't sold one of his pups..
I haven't heard from the other breeder since I told her that we would like to have her pup. (this was on monday)
I hope she contacts me very soon!
@ppuck:
www.basenjirescue.us is the website address for Americas Basenji Rescue, but I was not able to access the website well–-it kept bumping me off. I emailed the director directly: keathrhymer@yahoo.com.
