I'm a great-auntie again!!!

Off Topic
  • This is great niece/nephew #12 for me, but this one's Mom and I are really close so THIS is the ONE that matters the most to me!

    My niece gave birth today to her first baby, a son! I got to spend 5 1/2 hours with him at the hospital. I'm so in love:D . Brought back lots of memories for me of when my babies were born. So tiny!!

    His grandma {my oldest sister} and grandpa are driving up tonight. They'll get to my house about midnight, but they want to get to the hospital first thing in the morning. This is their first grandchild, and they've waited a long time for him {my niece is 31}.

    We're all just a'twitter over here.

  • Congratulations!

  • Congratulations!!!! What a handsome boy!!!!!!!!

  • Congratulations. He is adoreable!! What's his name?

  • Oh! hee hee forgot that!! His name is Rielly Isaac. {I don't care for the spelling, but …. he's not mine so I didn't get to vote, LOL}
    He was 8 lbs 5 oz, 20"

    His mom is a control freak who set up an elective C-section in order to avoid labor {can you believe they still do that? ANd she's a nurse!}, but God and Rielly showed her who is really in control -- he was born almost exactly 24 hours before the scheduled C-section! hee hee I told her, 'Welcome to parenthood. Now you know exactly how much control you have over your life. " hee

    Chelsie-the B's don't get a chance to see them. The B's are in the front in a pen and the ducklings and chickens are in the back. After Shadow decided to help me butcher a chicken when we first moved in, I thought it prudent to keep them separated. They would definitely terrorize them. Yes, Robyn, I made the duck tractor. It has wheels on the one end so I can move it around. I do have a duck pen, and they will go in it when I fix the duck house. It seems rats, or something decided to make a meal of the one end and floor of the house. So, I have to fix that. I do really like it, but it won't be big enough in a couple of weeks for them. I will try to get more pics of the little monsters today. (And, the pen will work very well for one of the dogs if I ever need it!!) Yes, they grow very, very fast. If I can get a pic of them up and about, you will see how it's very hard to tell which one had the spraddle legs. The rouens are bigger than the muscoveys. There are three rouens and they have an eye stripe. I love them. They are, of course, where the voting goes on. But I have been there for years. For the last 3 yrs part of my daughter and my gifts to each other is the gifts that give. Each year I have given her a certificate from buying a stove.. well here it is. She varies what she gets me.

    Something similar was at a big dog show in my area a few years ago. The one I ran my dog through had an A-frame and tunnels as well as the jumps and tire. It was a blast!

    Actually - I posted it on the Podengo group - lots of members in the area and looks like might be something from one of the hunt packs (or a golden GSD mix) Maybe one of them will bite.

    Nice. Katie was kind of put off when I told her I was going to name Zaire a Swahili name, but she came around when I explained to her what the name meant. Nyonda Zaire Usharifu "Beloved Nobility of Zaire" <g>She is proving not to be much of a talker to me, but oh boy does she chat with Charlie if she thinks he is ignoring her. :D</g>

    Yeah – it was not fun for me. SHE, on the other hand, called me late last night all excited about it and how this will go in her record as an "experience" which will help her when she's job hunting. oh. yay.
