Lovely boy, I like your blog, I must set one up for my lot!
Thank you for posting the link for the show, it's great to see the overseas basenji's going through their paces.
@Kembe - WooHoo, where was the show? Congrats!
@tanza
Sponsored by the ELM CITY KENNEL CLUB @ the Better Living Center in West Springfield, MA.
We’re heading back there now - he’s going to compete in Groups. Wish us well!
@Kembe - Good luck, what is Iko's registered name?
Champion Kokopelli’s Zydecco Iko Iko
Born :12/23/20
Sire: Champion Mata Hauri Jenga
Dam: Champion Kokopelli Under “The Aurora’s Spell”
Never mind, Kembe - He will finish his Grand Champion in no time, I am sure - Groups are so political, at least they are here. Who handled him, Gretchen ?
@Zande
Yes - Gretchen was his handler. She was extremely pleased with his performance. She plans on entering him in another show in October. Iko is exhausted today - it was a long day for him. The basenjis were shown @ 8am, Gretchen took Iko and her other girl home w/ her to regroup and check on the rest of her pack(she lives 40 min away). Iko was able to play with his former playmates for the afternoon - she said he had a blast. Luckily I only live about 10 min from the Better Living Center where the show was held. We met back up @ 3:30pm for Groups. It was amazing to see how much the venue had cleared out by then.
You will get a taste for showing !
@Kembe - Congrats again and I know that his "GCH" is close on his heels!
Thanks for all the positive comments and support!
I"m happy for you, too!
