Ohhh, there's nothing wrong with this depiction of the "first dog." It's a fantasy, and a beautifully rendered one at that. 🙂 Having seen all the entries, I'm really hoping this takes the Oscar for best animated short film this year. fingers crossed

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words! Yes Rescuing is the best option. Sure it is a no kill shelter but it makes room for new dogs to be rescued and it puts her in a wonderful home! She is SLOWLY coming along. She likes to try to come up in my lap now. Shes a wonderful lil dog and Anubis LOVES having someone his size around. She "Smiles" she will get excited and show all of her teeth and wag her tail…I try to get pics but she always gets scared of the camera.

We laid low as well…comfort foods galore..late night firepit and cozy going on..Moses (the podengo wonderboy) ended up chasing the fireworks neighbors were shooting off, so I had to put him up..was afraid he would get hurt. All in all a wonderful, lazy ending to a good year.

Well "duh". :p
But you would expect some characteristics of a Basenji to be there.

Anyways, it's a very handsome dog. I just don't see it. I see dogs every day at the park that I think just might have some Basenji in them, but turns out they don't.
