@b5004ever - Black muzzle is not uncommon in Basenjis, it is referred to as "masking". It fades as the pup ages. Usually found in bloodlines that carry the "Tri" gene. That said, look closely at the heads on those dogs. Compare to the heads found on the illustrated standard at www.basenji.org (https://www.basenjihe.org/BasenjiU/Judge/Study/Illustrated-Standard-2012.pdf). There are some unanswered questions if a sire was used that was known to come from a person in the West that crossed Basenjis with Fox Terriers
Looking for a older female basenji companion
-
Please suggest breeders in the Metro Portland Oregon or Phoenix Az arra that might have a female basenji available. Thank you.
-
@abaihya you could try BRAT, they have a few older dogs and can transport them.
-
We got our boy who is now 11 mts old from Khanis basenji in SE Portland.
She has dogs in the area and might know of one for you. -
Go to www.basenji.org and you can search for breeders by state

6 yr old female named Peanut in IL will be on the BRAT website once her fanconi test is done. Her foster does have her on Facebook if you want a sneak peak.

Also, Bryan Gregory of Jumoke Basenji had a 5-yr old female to place. Best wishes.
