PLEASE SOMEONE HELP MEEE!!!

    The lady that lived in my home before me kept her dog locked up in a bedroom and she never cleaned its pee or its poop up until she was moving out. Its a mobile home with hardwood flooring. I have mopped and soaked and mopped and soaked the floors and the smell is still there. It has soaked under the flooring I believe. Is there anything i can use to help get the smell out???

    You most likely will have to pull up the floor and possibly the subflooring and replace it all. You can try to paint the floor by using Kilz with an odor sealer (ask them which one to use) and see if that will take care of it first before you go ripping up your floors, but if it is that bad, I'm not sure if you will be that lucky.     Is this a rental, or did you buy the property? If this is a rental, contact the landlord immediately! If you purchased the property, you may have recourses that you can pursue....contact the REALTOR® you worked with (or a Real Estate Attorney).

    Try one (or all) of these homemade solutions:

    Six Homemade Remedies for Dog Stains and Odors

    If all else fails, speak with a local stain removal professional and/or get some quotes for replacing the floor. I don't envy you with this... good luck. (Please share whatever ends up working!)

    If it is a wood floor, sand it and recoat with a cover varnish. If plastic tile, rip it up and replace it....

    Hi there, we have always used vinegar and bi-carb in water. You will probably have to give it a few goes and then mop the vinegar smell out. Lots of luck. Regards

    I discovered a product years ago that really works called Odoban. It works by killing the bacteria causing the odor. Get a gallon of concentrate from Home Depot for under $10.
    I’d dilute it with at least half water. The dilution ratios are on the label. Thoroughly saturate/soak the area and leave it. You can use it on carpet too.

    It Took Me 1.5 years of looking and talking to breeders before I was able to get on the waiting list in time to get a pup. You have to start preparing and talking to breeders in the early fall in order to get on the reservation list for a puppy by next spring

    @Andrew: Worst feeling ever!!!! Lola got to half of a chocolate covered granola bar …I had heard somewhere you have a 30 minute time limit before the chocolate does damage. Just wanted to share this link showing the amounts of different types of chocolate it would take before you see a toxic reaction. http://www.vspn.org/Library/misc/VSPN_M01325.htm If it was a sugar free granola bar, and contained Xylitol, that would have been much more dangerous however. -Nicole

    I wish. Gypsy is getting old and having more problems – sometimes loses her balance, etc. -- and in response Jazzy is getting meaner to her. When the dogs are outside, Jazzy will wait on the porch for Gypsy. When Gypsy approaches the porch to come in, Jazz will run out growling and starting biting at her face. I've been able to curb it a little by letting Gypsy in, and then shutting the door and making Jazzy wait and sit before letting her in. Little things like that... Although other times she will curl up with Gypsy and sleepthere's never any kindness shown; Jazzy bosses her around more than ever, often even chasing Gypsy off of her bed so that Jazzy can lie down on it {I always make Jazzy get back off and let Gypsy back on}, even though Jazzy has a chair and her own bed. It makes me sad. Keoki on the other hand, seems quite oblivious and treats Gypsy the same as always. While those two never snuggle up, they are play-time buddies. Gypsy livens up a good bit when Keoki invites her to play.

    I do now seeing what you say I do agree with a more verbal and/or stand up and as you say "higher dog" split them up. And I have seen this many times, where my boxer would do that at a dog park, he's such a dork lol, some dogs would start arguing and he'd go shoulder his way inbetween them and just stand there. I can also understand your point that there are a high number of boxers that don't get the clue and subtle hints, and part of it JMO is back to training. And the whacking them in the face, yep thats a boxer, lol. And I can understand that Basenjis don't like that. When we frst met our neighbor that had a Basenji, Reggie tried his normal "boxer" techniques (but thankfully he's not a face wacker) to get the B to play, pawing at him, low woofs, etc, since that didn't work he took the B's toy and stood there squeaking it at him and then took off in a game of chase, they were friends until we moved away.

    Gipper sometimes get a little agressive, but nothing more than a growl or a nip. It ususally comes when he gets woken up from a nap outside of his crate and someone other than myself tries to put him up. When he's already awake, he's fine. Also, I've noticed that he is virtually perfect when it's just me and him, or him and my roomie- basically when it's him and one other person, he's the most mellow, relaxed little gentelman you'd ever meet. But when two people are there… it takes about a half hour for him to calm down and quit jumping and wanting to rough-house. I try to wrestle with him for about five or ten minutes a day, to let him have some play time, all the while pinning him, letting him know that I am still the "Alpha Male" and always will be. It seems to work really well, because he's getting better and better as each day passes.
