Puppy Smell

I know that Basenji's don't normally have a dog scent...but my puppy does :) He had a bath his first day home, and of course I haven't given him another one...but I was wondering if this just goes away when they get older!

Clean his bedding, he could be picking up odors there. He could be rolling outside. Is there high humidity where he could be absorbing moisture and smells coming out?

Maybe that is it...the bedding from in his crate!
