I say BS. I have owned Basenjis for over 30 years and they have shiny coats WITHOUT ever eating a raw egg. A good quality Food, Love and exercise will do the trick!
As a newbie to the breed, I appreciate that all of the information is contained in one spot. It is great to be able to get a broad range of opinions in one thread.

Really glad I checked this thread - I've always given Shaye cooked eggs because of the salmonella scare - wow - I'm sure it'll make her eat better if I can just break a whole egg in there from time to time. We have such a fear of raw anything we've never given our dog raw - except for veggies of course.
