Lost Afghan Dover Plains, NY (cross-posted)

Lost and Found Basenjis
  • Hello. A black and tan male Afghan named Kashim ran out of this home this morning and is loose near Poughkeepsie, NY.
Kashim is a rescue who was recently placed. Kashim is shy and in a new environment. We really need all the help we can get to catch Kashim. He was lastseen in Dover Plains New York (about 10-15 miles from his home) on Monday. He is moving quickly, Is anyone able to post flyers within 70-80 miles of Dover Plains???? The area is rural, lots of woods and big properties. If anyone is near and can help search, post flyers, call shelters, get a trap, etc. please contact Ulrike Reinisch ASAP at usreinisch@gmail.com. Our best shot is to get the word out and get some sightings so we know where to look. Please feel free to forward this to anyone of any breed who can help. We need everyone we can get.

  • I hope they find him soon!

The Ridgeback was found safe, not far from the hotel she went missing from. Other then some scrapes and bruises, she appears to be okay. Denise Como Wolfwind Gazehounds ~ wolfwindbz@frontier net.net For Book Titles ~ www.SighthoundsAfie ld.com

Don't give up hope; I thought one of my other dogs was dead earlier this year, (he's a deaf staffy); he was lost during the week of the blizzard… I said many prayers, and I live in a farming community, w/the help of a wonderful friend, and many prayers Jack made it home safely... a little thin, raw paw pads, but he came home alive (and yes the fence was fixed). I'll keep ya's in my prayers.
