Finally, Winter Wonderland

Off Topic
  • This started about 7am this morning. I am so sick of the mud season, which lasted about 3 months longer than I would have liked, that I had to take this picture to share!

  • I am envious.

  • We got quite a big dump over the last couple of days also and the temperature is very nice only around -5 C. But my B's don't particularily like playing in the snow, they'd much rather prefer the fireplace.

  • Just a little ways up the highway from you, Arlene, and we have nothing! Even saw the sun earlier. I'm not complaining. Most of the mud in my backyard is frozen, anyway! Enjoy the snow - you can keep it! :-)

  • Pretty picture…

...we are all covered in white here in Wisconsin. Our winter was late onset too...silly weather.

  • My 2 b's in the PNW like the snow much better than the rain. Me, not crazy for the snow, even tho it is very pretty when your warm inside.

  • Yeah, well, it's already melting-so much for my winter wonderland-back to the mud!

Yes they will still go out to potty reliably when there is snow. Snow is not wet on the feet. Rain is another story though…...they give you the....omg you know I am melting right?....look

@JENGOSMonkey I WAS THERE FOR '89! I was a kid, but I remember the water coming out of the swimming pool in huge waves and everything falling from the shelves! I was actually born in San Jose, but moved around a lot later LOL I hear the wildfires are more of a concern for you guys now? That's scarier than quakes for me...

@kembe - Very True Kembe, here is a link on looking for a responsible breeder. https://bconc.org/finding-breeders-red-flags There are many scammers out there, don't fall for one.. or a person that is not a responsible breeder.

Sharron, you're right. Knowledge is power. Right now, none of the plants I have are toxic. I am a stickler for that type of thing, because if it's not my animals getting sick, it could be someone elses, and I would never forgive myself. As for a b nipping off rose shoots, well… that would just mean that the rose would have no flowers! It might not look like it, but the yard/garden is maintained for the enjoyment of all of us - humans and pets. I love my garden, but I love my animals first.
