    My B's don't care what the yarn is made of. If Momma is crocheting, she had better keep only the ball of yarn being used and the others in a closed & latched top box. I did get a neat thing for Christmas. It holds up to 8 rolls of yarn, each strand comes up thru a hole in the top, eight holes on top. I have not started a crocheting project since I received it, but am interested in how the Bs will try to get the yarn out of it. I have lost count of the number of skeins of yarn that I have had to rewind into usable balls, with lots of tie offs to reconnect the yarn. You just have to laugh.

    @Basenjimamma: Basil boy..I am trying to understand what type of harness you are talking about. I have or maybe had (lost two leashes at the dogpark a few weeks ago, when son thought it fitting to fish with one and loose it, fish the first one out with the second one and loose it too..! )..any way..I have/had a leash that had a big metal loop by the collar that you threaded the leash after wrapping it around the body of the dog, so in essence it was a leash that could be used as a harness..is that what you are talking about? I think so… but my sister has never used it as a leash and it's not one straight long rope it's two long parallel ropes when it's all undone... But maybe this would serve as the same thing?

    We just got back from 5 days in Maui. Had to put our Laika in a kennel which we found after a long search. It was not easy to leave her there, she did ok we think. But was so glad to see us. We really hated to do this as we adopted her from a kennel 6 month ago. All our travel will now be by car only so we can take her. My husband had to pat everydog he saw in Maui. She is his baby.     I am glad to hear that his UTI is gone. It might be good for dogs to be left for a few days and then come and pick them up, just like it is good for kids. It teaches young kids that mom, dad or whomever has not 'dumped" you, they will come back. I wonder if dogs would see that connection? Good news that he howled, I have yet to hear Otis, although he does have his own language going on when I vacuum clean.LOL.

    Well she wasn't so good yesterdy - she chewed on the arms of the chair in the living room. I was going to buy a new one anyway but I think I'll wait until she shows me she can be good everyday.

    @BlueBell: She has gone to the vet to receive her shots but after doing some research wonder if dogs are being over vaccinated. Here in Jackson, TN our shots are yearly. They don't offer any 3 year shots. This may be the downside of living in a smaller city. Up to this point she has not been boarded and except for spending time once a month with her basenji cousins she is not around many other dogs. We don't have a dog park. This is why I would question needing a Bordatella every 6 months. It is the same shot as the one they gave for one year, just good for three. The standard now and has been for a few years (around here at least 6 or more) that they are covered for 3yr. Do some on line reseach about the recommendations and take them to your Vet…. you can start with Dr. Dodds... I think that you will find that most Vets are up to speed with the latest research and if not, they should learn...IMO.... and it might be a battle, but it is your dog... And unless you are going to board in a kennel facility, I would not even bother with Bordatella.. only protects on like 3 to 5 stains and there are hundreds.... I show mine all over and have not used Bordatella for over 15+ yrs.
