    I was able to spend the special day with my local family since I live in their home. It was a really special day...:Prince's first Thanksgiving. Dave even got him a special Turkey topper for dinner. So thankful for family and friends. My little guy is so special to me, I am thankful every day for him and I tell him so. Then I get that look from him.."I love you too, Momma".

    LOL Fran, skin has to be nice and crispy to eat. :) But we'd fight over dressing! We had 3 varieties– traditional, one with extra herbs and then one with oysters. My daughter has always refused oysters in dressing, but since we bought ready made at Harry's Market I got a pan of each. She tried it, agreed best she had ever had.

    Happy Hanukkah to you all also. (it's after sundown so I'm safe posting -{trying to be funny}). Glad to see there are other's who are owned by a Basenji (or two, or more) that have a Jewish flavor in their life.

    Hey, we must be on the same wave length. I've been watching that first one the last couple of days but hadn't seen #3. Here's the other one that got passed around: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGODurRfVv4 I decided to train Zest to bring my slippers to me. I think it took about 4 clicks for her to catch on. Last night I couldn't toss them around the corner and down the hall fast enough. And I have to say, I have heavy soled slippers, so it's not an easy task for a little girl. But she loves to bring me things. A few nights ago she found a wrapper from tenderloin in the yard. (wind blows a lot around here.) "Thank you Zest. Would like a cookie for that?" "Yes, momma, I'd like a cookie and you can have this prize. I thought you'd like it." She's such a good little girl! Here's pics from last weekend.     Happy Thanksgiving! I am grateful for many things, including our two wonderful basenjis, and this forum. We would never have made it through the process of adopting our two rescues in just over a year without the support of Sharron Hurlbut (sp?) and other experienced folks on this board. Today, Fiji and Bongo are happy, well adjusted dogs and they add to our lives tremendously. Thanks to all of you for your unending support of the breed and one another. Hope you've all had a wonderful day.

    @mauigirl: I had 2 people ask me if I'm a Mom yesterday. Both times I thought to say "I do have 2 dogs…". It totally counts. There's nothing like picking up poo to show commitment. Amen to that!!!!;)
