I have since checked my records and Trouble is 11 this year, Not 9. This photo was actually taken a couple of years ago.
Proud property of a Basenji
-
C'mon, we all know that's how it is. We don't choose this breed, it chooses us. My grandmother ran one of the first Basenji kennels in Oregon and it's where I learned about the breed. I never thought I would own one until AJ's original owner found herself in a position that she couldn't keep him.
AJ was five years old when I got him. I heard his story and decided to give him a chance as a truckin' dog. He has taken to it extremely well. I have had him on the truck with me for almost two years now and it hasn't been the same. It's really great to have someone greet you at the door who is genuinely happy to see you. He's a cool dude. Small enough to fit anywhere, but big enough to be taken serious. And not a lot to say. Perfect dog. -
Welcome to the forum AJ's Human! Post some pics of AJ. What's your radio call "This is Barooo over". "I'm not bark'n here but I see a smoky up ahead".

Welcome AJ and Human. I also use to drive a truck (flatbed) wish I had know about the B back then but I had my Schnauzer and Akita. Love to here more about AJ and see pictures. I have a Red Female be 10 months old end of this month. Perfect Jaycee may have some perect days and then there are those other days. I love her just same.

Welcome Aj and Aj's owner, we are glad you've found us..and yes we do like pictures, lots and lots of pictures..I read your thread about Aj singing along to the computer..funny. I have tried to get Otis to sing along, he is very curious, but always ends up looking at me like.."turn off that racket, I am going to bed".

Hi! Welcome to the forum!

welcome to the forum
-
my husband is a trucker too (regional) but his company doesn't allow any animals to ride with them. if they did my girl b would be truckn' right along with him.
-
GenJMar does your husband drive for co or O/O? One of the guys carried a snake crazy. I think the B in the truck would have been really cool and lots of fun.

Welcome AJ from the UK.
I know of two basenjis over here that ride the road with their basenjis and the dogs are so well socialised and never phased by any new experiences! It's ideal to be able to take your basenji to work with you!

Well, apparently the programming is smarter than I am. I'll have to play with it and figure it out, but I tried to resize the photo to JPG and came out with a BMP. Not quite sure how that happened. I'll keep trying.
Thanks for the welcome, all.
Cheers:)

Hmmm…Guess it worked anyway, in spite of me. Still don't know how to place it next to my name, though...some more playing with it?
-
He's so handsome!
To put it next to your name, go to the top of the page and click "User CP". Once you get to that page, on the left side under "User Control Panel" and "Settings & Options" you will see "Edit Avatar". Click that. On that page, click in the circle beside "Use Custom Avatar". You will have to resize the picture (80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB). If you are uploading it from your computer, use "Option 2" and browse for it. Use "Option 1" to get the image from another website. Good luck!

YAY!!! Thank you, crystalncody! Your boy is very handsome as well. Cheers!

What a handsome B you have! I hope you have him chipped. My young sport took off Tuesday but because of the chip I got him back safely. I stupidly had his collar off when he slipped out of an open gate.

Very handsome boy.
