• Lycia, Tillo and their (foster) humans had a busy weekend.. Friday we went to the Zoo, which was a lot of fun. We didn't take a lot of pics, because BF and I both had to hold a dog

    Looking at the elephants

Tillo looking at a lynx, totally forgetting the one directly on the other side of the fence…

    A treat for both pups

    Begging..

After the Zoo we drove to Germany with two very tired puppies in the back of the car. Saturday we had a show. It was a beautiful show ground with a lot of nice dogs. Tillo didn't feel like showing (he never really does :() and became 4th in his class with a Very Good. This was his judge report (which was very readable, Basi ;)):

Good type, lovely wrinkle, fraction long in muzzle, dips a little at shoulder, good leg length, good bend of stifle, good rear angulation. Very wide behind, loose behind.

    And some pics:

    Seelenfreund pup πŸ™‚

9 week old Toller pup πŸ˜ƒ

    BOB/BISS was Bulldobas Blockbuster, Jaro

BOS was Mutabaruga's Israelites at Tami's TamTamy

Tillo got Best Wrinkles in Sweepstakes:

We tried to take a pic of them both…

Lycia was in the ring for Best Brindle coat and Best Feet, but she didn't win anything. We did take some nice shots of her and her dad Echo. I opened another thread for those πŸ™‚

  • I love these pics!!! I don't know if you can bring a dog in a zoo here unless you are disabled. Hey, we think Lycia is beautiful!

  • Houston

Gorgeous pictures, I love the one with Tillo and his big ribbon, and the one of you holding both looking at the elephants, and..oh, well I love'em all. You are lucky, there is no way you could bring dogsin our zoo here in Houston, they would have a "kenippfit" (homemade word) if I even asked..

  • Great pictures. Keep posting them. BTW, what the heck is a loose behind?? Tillo looks as if he's lost those extra pounds you were worried about. How much did he lose?

I was also wondering about the 'loose behind'. (Basi?) It is about Tillo when moving.

And he did loose his extra weight! He went from 11.6 kg (25.6 pound) to 10.8 kg (23.8 pound) πŸ˜ƒ This weekend he got some extra food + treats.. so we have to cut back for the next couple of days πŸ˜‰

  • Wonderful pics!! I love the pics at the zoo, very cute. He is so pretty with his ribbon

Loose behind usually means that they are not following the front when moving or they are losing top line.. We usually call that the puppy bounce when you have a loosey, goosey puppy that doesn't seem to know where to put the feet or when moving looks like the front is not attached to the rear…

  • Pictures are great I like them all. Thank you for sharing. Not really sure you have to be a puppy/dog to get that loosey goosey thing. LOL !!

  • Great pictures as always - looks like you had a good time - and a prize for best wrinkles - way to go Tillo! - i know a few people who would be in the running for that lol.

  • Great pics!!!

And a realy busy weekend! πŸ˜ƒ

  • Love the pics, in the Uk we wouldn't be allowed to take a Dog into a Zoo. It's interesting to hear what happens in other countries.

  • On a slightly related theme, we have just spent two weeks in Kefalonia and i was surpried to see so many people that had taken their Dogs with them on holiday. Also they took the dogs into shops and resteraunts ( semi outside ones) but it still surprised me as rules regarding dogs are so strict here.

If you ask it kindly, it's possible to bring your dog to restaurants in the Netherlands as well. Shops are ok most of the times. Supermarkets not.. although I took Tillo with me when he was still a puppy and everybody loved him πŸ˜ƒ

I think it's great for both dogs as well as the Zoo animals that dogs are allowed in Zoos πŸ˜ƒ You can really see the animals are interested in eachother!

  • That would be so nice to be able to take your dog places with you here in the U.S. not to many places. Pet Food Stores and some Pet stores and we have a few dog bakery's but that is about it. Our zoo would go crazy if you ask to bring your dog in.

It would be great to take your dog to zoo but animals are still pretty much so just animals here.

  • I agree Rita Jean it would be nice if you could take Dogs more places. In the UK some pubs allow Dogs in, especialy the ones with beer gardens but other than that dogs are not welcome 😞

  • In my town dogs are not even allowed in the park. Sign says no animals allowed. Tell that to the squirrels and rabbits guess they cant read . Be nice if you could take your pets with you more. A trip to the zoo would be great.
