I cannot imagine committing to buy a puppy without seeing the animal and if possible the sire and dam. OTOH, a rescue (or adoption of an older dog) is a different thing. My last two Basenjis came to me sight unseen, and turned out to be wonderful dogs, but the breeders I got them from wanted to place their dogs in an experienced Basenji home, and I only paid the cost of getting the dogs to me. One came by air, one was personally transported to me by his breeder. If she hadn't been happy with what she found I expect she would have taken him back with her when she left. I also had to commit to return him if ever I couldn't keep him. Good breeders care about where their dogs end up.
Have you heard?

Has anyone ever heard of this breeder overseas?
http://iturypuzzle.ru/A breeder's dog ended up here and she doesn't know how.

She had all her litters (6) in 2008, so maybe she lost track..?
-
My friend is not the breeder. One of her dogs ended up there. Funny the website is gone now!

For anyone that needs it you can translate the pages using Babel Fish, http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

Do mean one of the dogs is being used by the breeder, or just the photo of her dog?
-
I met her and some of her dogs 2 weeks ago at one show. What would you like to know?
-
Andrea, one of her dogs she sold elsewhere ended up at this breeder's home.
Tiva, I will ask her specifically what she wants to know and which dog she is talking about. I think she wants to know basically how she ended up obtaining the dog, and what she is going to use the dog for. I will let you know further. Thanks muchly!

Hi! My name is Katerina. I'm the owner of Itury Puzzle Kennel,Russia, Moscow
I'm a vet doctor
Thanks Tina for the link to this forum :)))
I'm very interested, what dog are you talking about-whon speaking of one that in my Kennel-they're all of Russian breeding and I'm their first, and hope, the only owner.
As for the number of litters-here it's normal , when females of the private owner (not a Kennel) are matted with my male , we just wrote as they're rent by me and I give the puppies my Kennel name :))I help them during pregnancy and borning pups. Mine (from my girls) are only 2 litters, but I try to help to find the owners to any of the puppies, born from my male, as the breed is not so simple as it seems at first sight and then I comunicate, help in bringin'up, in veterinary subjects, no matter were they sold by me or not. The're all my children :))) -
Hi Katerina and welcome. Very well put and the comment about there all my children. Thank you.

She didn't really say which dog, and now she has avoided my question! I will send another e-mail to her.

Thank you very much- It's such a hapiness to see, how they're growing up, how they change, how they recognize me (yes, yes, they really do) even after some months (5-6 if they live in the other city)-wagging their curly little tails, how they become champions in shows(i'm so proud at that moments), how their owners change because of life with them
Becides, basenji gave me many-many good and interesting friends-I'm greatful to them. -

Please, do it, if it's possible.
Because I feel strange of this…
I can say, anyway, that all my dogs are now here, with me and they don't lack anything.
