I used Wisdom Panel for my assumed Basenji mix. It showed no basenji at all. My boy is 32 lbs and short hair. His DNA says he is 25% American Eskimo 12.5% Boston Terrier 12.5% Chow Chow 12.5% German Shepherd 12.5% Miniature Schnauzer 25% Breed Group-Sporting, Herding, Hound, Terrier. Having owned basenjis all my life I would say my boy has basenji in him by his personality and behavior regardless of what his dna says!!

Great pics:D I can not get any of mine anywhere near water of any kind:rolleyes: which is a pity as I live beside the sea.

Akima loves water, not as much as Arti's dogs, but has no fear of it. Does not want to swim in it. He will go in the canoe or kyak.(Only shallow water). When swimming he begs to be carried into the water (only shallow water)

Sorry, I have no photos to share on this subject… Bella HATES water!!! I do; however, love the photographs!:D:D:D

Amazing pictures - beautiful dogs! I don't think my B will ever be in a picture like that. She hates water of any kind, walks around puddles, has to be dragged onto wet grass to do her "duties" and hides if we turn the hose on even to wash the driveway.

Last night it was 60+ degrees and light rain, my dog & myself went for long walk. He did not want to go home. Heavy rain is different. When our dog was a puppy he use to go wadding in our kiddie pool on hot days but he would go under or get his ears splashed and would get ear infections, so we stopped all swimming for him since.

Just a reminder to those that have dogs that like to nose around the water edge or have dog only swimming areas at beaches and parks…...Canine leptospirosis....
