    thanks! We only use the harness for going out, but we left it on today for a "getting use to the feeling" kind of thing, but thanks for the concerns! More Pics to Come!!

    STORY

    So tonight our downstairs flooded and inch or two!! Maverick had a BLAST TRYING to play in it!! (I was rushing around after him) Thank Goodness the Military Housing Maintenance took care of it!! GRRRR

    He imitates it good then!! Our B's also can CRY like baby's!!

    (weird story, to tell how a dog can love a baby, the dog of friends of us, a german Shepard was going crazy one time, he lost himself near the door of the baby's room… he stayed soooo crazy till our friends look by the baby and saw the little baby turned with her head upside down, with her nose and mouth into the pillow. The dog feld someting was wrong and went crazy... He rescued the little baby! The baby was just a few days old..)
    It's so special to see how dogs connect with young children!!! Like a guardian!

    @Shaye's: Cairo is a beautiful boy! He looks nearly exactly like my girl, Shaye - so of course he is the best looking guy around. @Patty: Lovely pictures - he's a very smart boy. Thank you for all the kind comments. I agree (and he does also) that he is great looking boy. Very smart as well. Me and my parents joke around all the time, saying that he is a celebrity around our town. Everywhere I take him, people go out of their way to see, pet, and inquire about him. Cairo's doctor said she only knows of one other Basenji in our area, I have yet to see.

    @crystalncody: Great pics! I also love the first one. He (?) has such soulful eyes… and is that a hint of a mohawk or just the way the light is reflecting? No mohawk going on. The red hairs just stand out more, I guess, in the photo.

    Great looking dog in some good looking threads! I have yet to successfully get Hollie to wear clothing. I am seriously considering a raincoat and booties. Cleaning and drying her gets tiresome.
