I was a little pre-occupied earlier today, and Doodle displayed her displeasure at my constant delays... how? She got up on the sofa and did this little prancing-dancing thing. Like she was saying, "haha, look at me misbehaving". LOL oh yeah.... if that is her "breaking bad", I'm in trouble, she's got my heart!

@sarahmiri - I would say no to carrying him.... don't pick him up, but get down to his level as Zande pointed out in her response.

@rheidt: No I do not feed her in her crate, mainly because her crate is located in the basement and she would not have access to it at all times. I do walk her when weather permits, she won't walk if it's too cold, as of late the sub zero temperatures have made it next to impossible to walk her. And when I do walk, it is for around 40 minutes. Hi Rheidt, I was reading all of your posts about your basenji's crate and anxiety problems. Did you ever get things resolved? If so, kinds of things did you do that worked?

Mine NEVER tires either!!! However I have figured out that if I make him work he does tire :) I use a backpack & it's great & has worked wonders for tiring out our crazy dog :D :D Here's the one I got & I fill it with a couple of bottled waters (no more than 2lbs) and THEN we go out for 3 miles :D http://www.ruffwear.com/Approach-Pack-trade-II?sc=2&category=13 I also have a treadmill at home that I'm trying to get him used to so that he can do some extra work there too! I can't ride a bike but there are some people on the forum that do bike with their dog for about 6 miles & they use this contraption :D http://www.springerusa.com/ There are ways I PROMISE you…we just have to outsmart them!!
