I was a little pre-occupied earlier today, and Doodle displayed her displeasure at my constant delays... how? She got up on the sofa and did this little prancing-dancing thing. Like she was saying, "haha, look at me misbehaving". LOL oh yeah.... if that is her "breaking bad", I'm in trouble, she's got my heart!
Never seen this before!

This morning while Sahara was outside she started eating some grass. Why do they eat grass, is her stomach upset or something? I have never seen her do this, however, I have cleaned up grass when she threw it up.

No one has ever figured out why they eat grass… but the all do (all dogs, not just Basenjis...) and many times it is just due to a "gassy" tummy....

The animals I have owned, including cats, do it to make themselves vomit.
-
Mine just do it. They don't vomit or anything afterward.
They actually have preferences for certain types of grass, it seems.
-
Yep, eat some grass and vomit minutes later. I always thought it was some natural stomach remedy all dogs seem to know about.

All our cats did it as well.
-
Tiggy does it well just to eat it. Reggie does it when his tummy is upset
-
Marlowe always vomits after eating grass. Cheyenne and Apache sometimes do. It seems to depend on the grass they choose to eat.
-
It seems like Senji only eats the grass with wider blades, i.e. crabgrass. It seems to have a certain "fuzziness" to it that seems to stimulate him to throw up.
-
Sometimes, I swear, it seems like we put the basenjis out to pasture. We call it grazing.

Magnum eats grass all the time, usually with no vomiting afterwards. However, if he goes at it like a lawn mower, I know he's trying to make himself toss. (I can just imagine him thinking, "Wish I had me a finger.")
